About Goodyear, AZ:

Established in 1917 by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company to cultivate cotton for tires, thus the name Goodyear  became a town and eventually became a city by 1985. Located 17 mile west of downtown phoenix, Goodyear became known as a bedroom community. It features 188 square miles of plains, rivers and the beautiful Estrella Mountains.

Goodyear has an wonderful amenities such as the Goodyear Park that has a skate park, Tennis Courts, Basketball Courts, Sand Volley Ball Courts, Baseball Fields, Children’s playrounds, a large splash pad, and winding exercise paths. Goodyear also features its very own Ball Park which is the spring training home for the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds in addition to hosting large events during the off-season.

The City of Goodyear was the recipient of two significant national Awards in 2008: All-American City and City of Livability awards. It just goes to show that the city of Goodyear offers a great way of living. Some of the premier communities found in Goodyear include Palm Valley and Estrella Mountain Ranch.
